60th Reunion
We held our 60th Reunion (and final reunion) Saturday, September 14, 2019, at the Lake Hallie Golf Course/Club House. We started gathering at 2:00 p.m. to enjoy social time with each other, and to enjoy snacks. A group had played golf together in the morning. At 6:00 p.m. we were served a delicious meal by the staff at the Golf Course, which was followed by more visiting and catching up with our class members. Most people were saying they could have used more time for touching base with more of their classmates. But we had fun while our time lasted.
A big THANK YOU goes to our reunion chairperson, Carolyn Gabrielsen Barstad. Special thanks go to members of our Reunion Committee for getting everything set up for our special day. Another thank you goes to Judy Johnson Kneer for coordinating things with the Lake Hallie Golf Course, where she is still an employee. Another thank you goes to John Barstad, class of '57, for helping his wife, Carolyn with some of her chores. Thanks to John Schaaf for being our class treasure for these past 60 years. Finally, thanks to all of you who turned out. Without your presence, there would have been no reunion.
Some classmates have started sending photos from the reunion, and I encourage you to do that. There is no way for you to post the photos directly to our website, but send then to me, Steve Loken, (see the Contact Us page) and I will put them on our picture page. You can email photos, or use other services such as One Drive, Google Drive, or other methods you may choose. Then I will add them to our Picture Page.
