Beverly Conley

 

Beverly A. Conley, 59, of 922 W. MacArthur Avenue, Eau Claire, died Friday, February 23, 2001 at UW Madison Hospital.

Beverly was born March 19, 1941 in Eau Claire to Selmer and Mary (Stich) Teigen. She graduated from Memorial High School in 1959. After graduation, she planned a career in nursing and went on to graduate in 1961 from St. Francis School of Nursing in La Crosse, Wis. Beverly worked as a nurse for many years at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

She married Gerald "Jerry" Conley on September 25, 1965 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Eau Claire.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald "Jerry"; three children, Debbie (Kevin) Stanton, Vicki Conley, both of Eau Claire, and Joe (Kathy) Conley of Spencer, Wis.; four grandchildren, Devin, Tyler, Brent and Tony; one brother, LeRoy Teigen of Chetek, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Beverly spent much of her life helping others and even receiving the Channel 13 Sunshine Award. She was a member of St. Patricks's Catholic Church.

Beverly was a loving wife and mother, a very special grandma and very caring friend. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2001, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Kurt Apfelbeck officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 2, 2001 at the Golden Funeral Home, 1405 N. Clairemont Avenue, Eau Claire, Wis., where there will be a public prayer service at 6 p.m. Friends may also call one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Memorials to the Special Olympics are preferred.
