Charles Johnson
Charles "Chuck" Johnson, age 70, of Eau Claire passed away peacefully on
Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Mayo Clinic Health System of Eau Claire.
Chuck was born on Aug. 16, 1941 in Eau Claire, WI to Hazel M. Johnson (Pagenkopf)
and Clarence H. Johnson. He graduated from Eau Claire Memorial High School
and then the UW Eau Claire. He served his country willfully, entering the
service in April 1962. He is a lifelong member of the American Legion,
Post 550. Chuck will be remembered for his eternal optimism, love of the
outdoors, big smile and his never-ending faith.
Preceding him in death was his father, Clarence in 1972.
He will be deeply missed by his mother, Hazel M. Johnson; brother, Gary
(Donna) Johnson; five children, Paul (Jill) Johnson, Craig (Kristin)
Johnson, Susan (Cory) Cox, Karen and Ann; eight grandchildren, Ryan,
Tyler, Charles, Jake, Alex, Sophie, Elliot and Clark.
Funeral services for Chuck will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 25,
2012 at Drammen Lutheran Church, S12275 County Road B, Mondovi, WI with
Pastor Kathy Gauger officiating.
Friends and family may visit today from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fuller-Speckien
Hulke Funeral Home, 3209 Rudolph Road, Eau Claire, and on Wednesday
morning at the church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
Burial will be in the Drammen Cemetery immediately following services with
military honors being provided by American Legion, Post 550, Brackett. In
lieu of flowers, memorials to the family are preferred.
