Elizabeth Lucille Lane, 64, formerly of Wilton, Iowa, died Friday, December 16,

Liz was born January 14, 1941, to Enos and Ricka (Kruger) Lane in Eau Claire. She
attended Eau Claire Schools and graduated from Memorial High School in 1958. Liz
married Ralph Rablin and moved around the country while he was in the Navy. They
returned to Eau Claire after he left the Navy, and she began working for Memorex and
Bourghs building printed circuit boards. After being let go when the company
downsized, Liz returned to school and got a degree in refrigeration. She then began
work for Amana and moved to Amana, Iowa. Once again, Liz found herself unemployed
due to a company downsizing; so she went back to school and became a CNA for
Pathways Adult Day Care in Iowa City. Liz enjoyed music and going with her friend,
Lou Cooling, to listen to their favorite local bands play while they danced with
their friends.
Liz is survived by two sisters, Dee Beckman of Westaco, Texas, and Orva (Gary) Hegg
of Olympia, Wash.; a daughter, Mary, (Jeff) McDow of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two
sons, Ralph Rablin of Coralville, Iowa, and Ron Rablin (Glenda) of Cornell, Wis.;
seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2006, at Lakeview
Cemetery in Eau Claire. A luncheon will follow at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 201
S 6th Street, Cornell, Wis.
