Jerry was born 11/24/1941, son of Otis and Claire (Romundstad) Shermo in Eau Claire. Jerry is survived by his loving wife Lorena Mae (Fedie) of 49 years, two sons, Jeff (Amber) and Scott (Juanita) Shermo, and three grandchildren, Jorge, Juan and Brandon. Brother Kenneth (Jane) Shermo, sister-in-law Nancy Shermo-Denton, many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Otis and Claire, siblings Leone and Lester and nephew David.

Jerry and Lorena were married 4/20/1963 at St. Henry's in Eau Galle, WI. They raised their family in Altoona. He worked for Brown Co. Pope & Talbot for forty four years. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed volunteering at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Altoona in which he joined the Catholic Faith in 1982. Jerry and Lorena did everything together. They enjoyed making random trips to the casino, Door County, and traveled often on cruises and to Arizona. Early on he loved hunting, fishing and camping. We will not only miss Jerry's sense of humor, but seeing his friendly smile while proudly displaying his toothpick everywhere he went is something we will not forget.

A heartfelt thank you to the many doctors, nurses and health care providers through Marshfield Clinic, Sacred Heart Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospice for providing Jerry with the best care and support throughout his battle with Cancer. In addition, the support we have received from family, friends and neighbors goes beyond what we have ever imagined. Our sincere thanks to all.
