From the Eau
Claire Leader-Telegram
Jane Hageness
Jane Marie
Hageness, 61, of Eau Claire, went to her Lord on Monday, January 20, 2003,
at Luther Hospital. She was born on April 7, 1941, in Eau Claire, the
daughter of Marvin and Verna (Buchholz) Hageness.
She was a happy
child who did well in school and enjoyed playing the violin when she was
young. She was employed by Eau Claire Sand and Gravel briefly after
graduating from high school. Jane was a very active member of First
Lutheran Church, participating in choir and many church activities. She
was very creative and enjoyed making crafts. Many of her creations were
featured during various church activities and celebrations. Jane was asked
by the members of the Senior Citizens Center to make and distribute audio
tapes to the visually impaired, which she enjoyed doing for many years.
Even though Jane
was limited by her physical handicaps she always maintained a positive
attitude. With her Mom and Dad as close and constant companions and her
faith to "hold her up", she lived a very rich life.
Survivors include
her brother, Allen (Mary Jo) Hageness of New Franken; two sisters, Mary
(Robert) McMahon of La Crosse, and Sharon (Jerry) Sather of Charles Town,
W.V; her aunt, Mildred (Harvey) Krueger of Englewood, Fla.; ten nieces and
nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews; her many cousins; special friends,
Kathy and Jeff White and Joanne and Roger Flaten of Eau Claire; and her
many other friends including those at PALS.
