John Woletz
John E. Woletz,
age 73, of Eau Claire, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at his home.
He was born on September 14, 1941, to the late Mildred "Mitzie" (Anderson)
and John "Huntz" Woletz. After graduating from Eau Claire Memorial High
School, he received his B.S. Degree from UW-EC in 1964 with a major in
business education and minors in Economics and History. He was enlisted
with the local National Guard Mechanized Infantry Battalion for six years,
obtaining the rank of E-5. John worked for Uniroyal as a supervisor in
different departments, retiring after 27 plus years of service in June
1991.
John had many, many good days hunting turkeys, pheasants, and deer along
with trips to Lake Michigan fishing for salmon. "Rusty," his Irish setter,
was John's best pheasant hunting partner. John was humble about his 36
years of absolute sobriety. This led John to his belief in Christianity
and he was a member of Saving Grace Lutheran Church (LCMC).

(Pam) Woletz of Eau Claire and Brad (friend, Joan) Woletz of Ellsworth;
great-nephews and nieces, Christopher "C.J.," Samuel "Sam" (Jas), Mollie
and Maggie Woletz all of Eau Claire; great-great-niece, Ivy; many cousins,
other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his infant brother, Paul, and many other
relatives.
