Karen Brenner
Karen L. Brenner, 62, of Eau Claire, died Friday August 22, 2003, at
her home. She was born on May 2, 1941, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Jack
and Frances (Wallace) Craney.
Karen graduated from Memorial High School in 1959, and attended Mankato
State University where she began her career as a communications director,
and spent summers as training camp coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings.
She married William J. Brenner in 1963. She returned to Eau Claire in
1973, and worked at the University, Wisconsin Telephone Co., Tele-serve
and, for the past 20 years, at Luther Hospital. One of her favorite things
was providing friends and co-workers with mittens and cookies.
Survivors include her daughters, Shelly Prueher of Little Falls, Minn.,
and Joey (Wayne) Eski of Anchorage, Alaska; and their father, William;
three grandchildren, Mike and Kelsey Prueher of Eau Claire and Ivy Eski of
Anchorage; her brother, Patrick (Liz) Craney of Waukesha; a nephew; and
two nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 27, 2003, at
Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home with Father Edmund Klimek officiating.
Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior
to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
