Kathleen F. Oium, age 76, of Janesville, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Mercyhealth Hospital & Trauma Center, surrounded by her family. She was born October 25, 1941 in Eau Claire, WI, the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Rowlings) McQuillan. In her early years she loved ice skating. Kathy was united in marriage on November 22, 1958 to LaMoine Oium.

Kathy enjoyed watching Brewer and Packer games, crocheting, and crossword puzzles. She was also a people person, but most of all loved people watching. Kathy was a devoted worker for 45 years. She worked at Norwood Mills, Accudyne, Goodwill, and at Lear Seating until her retirement. Kathy was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She liked to tell it like it was and her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her children: Michael (Mary) Oium, of Hudson, WI, Mark (Elizabeth) Oium, Maurice Oium, Maribeth Whaples, and Michelle Risch, all of Janesville; her 9 grandchildren, Brandon and Shantal Whaples, Heather (Jesse) McNeil, Ashley (Isaac) Haight, Ericka DeWar, Morgan and Emma Risch, Marshall (Emily) Oium, and Dalton Oium; 10 Great Grandchildren, with two on the way; and by her siblings, Bette (Jim) Dupree, and Timothy (Wanda) McQuillan.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick McQuillan, her husband, LaMoine, and a child.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 1, 2018 at WHITCOMB-LYNCH FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, with Pastor Daniel Decker officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 10:30 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.
