Maejean Graves Cooper, 62, died unexpectedly at her home in Justice, Ill., on January 4, 2004. She attended Eau Claire area schools and graduated from Memorial High School in 1959.

Over a 24-year period, she worked for several Christian ministries including Stonecroft Ministries in Kansas City, Evangelical Alliance Mission in Wheaton, Ill., and Chicago Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Maejean married Charles Cooper on May 6, 2000. She retired on April 30, 2003, after working for eight years for an automotive group.

Survivors include her husband; an aunt; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Maejean was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Louise Graves.

A memorial service was held at Grace Baptist Church in Lombard, Ill., on January 9.

She was always willing to help and give of herself for others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
