Michael Bell
Michael Bell,
30114 Pebble Beach Drive, Sun City, California, died November 12, 2012, at
home.
He was born April 25, 1941, in Crandon, Wisconsin to Gerald and Marie
(Plummer). After graduating in 1959 from Memorial High School and serving
in the Marines, Mike returned to attend UW-Eau Claire, playing with the
1963 to 1964 champion Blugold football team. After graduation, he worked
for several years as a buyer for John Menard. He married Mary (Kirschbaum)
in 1976. Mike bought the first B & B bar and restaurant in Chetek in 1979,
expanding to eight locations, including Eau Claire and Chippewa Falls,
over nearly 30 years. Mike retired in 2008, moving to California to be
near his children.
Mike is survived by his wife, Mary; a son, Matthew (Karlee), Hemet, CA; a
daughter, Adrienne (Adam), Berkeley, CA; a grandson, Blake; two
step-grandsons, Aiden and Ethan; a brother, John (Doris), Wausau, WI; a
sister-in-law, Diane; and a sister, Sandy (Dick) McDonald.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James, Terry, and
Russell; and a sister, Jackie.
Mike loved his family, business, and the Green Bay Packers. A private
memorial service was held.
