Opal Luhman
Opal "Punky"
(Stage) Luhman, 73, of Chippewa Falls, passed away Monday, September 1,
2014, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Chippewa Valley in Bloomer.
She was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on December 2, 1940, the daughter of
Robert Stevenson and Gertrude Brown.
Punky enjoyed fishing with her brothers, children and grandchildren. On
Friday nights you would find her playing bingo at the Knights of Columbus
hall in Chippewa Falls. She also enjoyed playing with her dog, Jessie.
She is survived by 5 children, Roger (Rhonda) Schneider of Chippewa Falls,
Donald (Isabelle) Schneider of New Richmond, Ted (Julie) Schneider of
Prescott, Lynn Schneider of River Falls and Kelly (Sue) Gillman of
Ellsworth. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Ken Schneider, Doug
Schneider and Clint Schneider all of Chippewa Falls, Clayton Schneider of
Menomonie, Brier (Matt) Roukema of Lemoore, Calif., Bailey Schneider of
New Richmond, Richy and Sami Gillman both of Ellsworth. Punky is also
survived by her siblings, Dick (Cheryl) Stage and Jim (Pam) Stage both of
Altoona, Roberta (Mel) Rude of Eau Claire and Jerry Stage of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 9 at the Horan
Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls. The Rev. Mark Homp of Christ Lutheran
Church will be officiating. Burial of cremains will be in Lakeview
Cemetery in Eau Claire immediately following the service.
Friends may call from 12 Noon until the time of services on Tuesday,
September 9 at the Horan Funeral Home in Chippewa Falls.
