Sharon May Cain, 69, of Chippewa Falls passed away peacefully after a 17-month battle with cancer on Sunday, March 28, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born on February 27, 1941 in Eau Claire to Percy "Bud" and Phyllis (Crabtree) Holbrook.

Sharon married the love of her life, John Cain, on August 30, 1998. She loved her family and lived life to the fullest.

Sharon is survived by her children, Mark (Judy) Pendergast, Alma Cain (Dennis Urness), Jean (Scott) Krejcarek, Joseph (Cindy) Ciszewski, Phyllip (Cassie) Ciszewski; stepchildren, Lynn, Dianne, Cathy, and Lisa Cain, Michael (Kathy) and Cheryl Talley; 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters, Sandra Geist, Susan Johnson, Shirley Barnhardt, and Percine Nichols; two brothers, Wilbur P. and Thomas R. Holbrook; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and an aunt.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; and stepson, Ronald Talley.

The funeral service for Sharon will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Smith Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rolf Nestingen officiating.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service.

Burial will be at Brunswick Cemetery.
