Shirley J. Hasenmueller, 62, of 2122 Black Avenue, died February 26, 2003, at Luther Hospital. She was born February 5, 1941, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Otto and Erma (Lee) Berg. She graduated from Memorial High School with the class of 1959.

Shirley married Charles Hasenmueller on December 7, 1966, in Eau Claire. Charles died in 2000.

Shirley had worked at MacDonald’s for nine years and now worked in the Deli department at Mega Pick’n Save East.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, Eric (Sandy) Berg of Woodridge, Ill., Peter (Tracy Wright) of Eau Claire and Steven (Christiana) Hasenmueller of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three grandchildren, John and Eric Berg and Lauren Wright-Hasenmueller; and two brothers, Omer Berg of Eau Claire and Erv Berg of Menomonie.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Theodore Nyseth; and two sisters, Dorothy Meinen and Joyce Newberry.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2003, at First Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Duane C. Pederson officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lenmark-Gomsrud-Linn Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
