Susan Jackson
Susan Kae
Jackson, age 73, of Elk Mound, WI, went to be with her Lord and Savior on
Saturday, July 26, 2014. She died at home due to complications from Lewy
Body Dementia. Her loving husband was at her side.
Susan was born on April 3, 1941, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Gene and Margaret
(Roby) Starks. She had one sister, Vicki Drennon, Palatine, IL. Susan
graduated from Memorial High School, Eau Claire, WI, in 1959. She married
Bruce G. Jackson on May 20, 1961, in Eau Claire, WI, at Our Redeemer
Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, homemaker, friend,
teacher and above all, a devout Christian. She had unconditional and
overflowing love for her husband, her three children, eight grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.
She loved crafting and in the mid-1980s created her own business (Sew Be
It), traveling to different states selling her counted cross-stitch
projects.
Before becoming ill, Susan and her husband enjoyed spending winters in
Florida and traveling in their RV.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Bruce Jackson, Elk Mound, WI;
children, Kim (Gregory) Mleziva of Denmark, WI, Randy (Julie) Jackson of
Waukesha, WI, and Wendy Sue (Michael) Maes of Green Bay, WI.
Grandchildren, Alissa Sue Cramer, Justin and Jonathan Mleziva, Jessica
(Tim) Quinn, Josie and Logan Jackson, Kyle and Rebecca Sue Maes; and one
great-grandchild, Bailey Quinn. She is also survived by her sister, Vicki
Drennon, IL; and cousins from Ottumwa, IA; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Susan's Life will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at
2:30 p.m. at Cornerstone Family Church, 2780 School Lane, Green Bay, WI
54313. Services will be officiated by the Reverend Ronald Jackson and
Pastor Ben Lamb, with reception following.
