Thomas Edward DeMars of Eau Claire, Wisconsin passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 82.

Thomas was born December 8th, 1940. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy DeMars, and by his father, Edward DeMars, of Eau Claire. He attended Eau Claire Memorial High School and graduated in the class of 1959.

Not long after high school, Thomas would venture to California and New Mexico, where he lived for many years before returning to his hometown in 1990. Thomas was a man with many talents and hobbies. Though he was an auto and motorcycle mechanic by trade for most of his life, Thomas was also an artist, a race car driver, a biker, a cowboy, a music lover, and a dreamer. He loved good, hearty food and long conversations. He had a big personality and will forever hold a huge place in the hearts of all the family and friends who loved him.

Thomas is survived by his wife of the last 13 years, Martha McMahon, and his five children: Tony DeMars, Paul DeMars, Drew DeMars, Santiago DeMars, and Celina Mattice.

A memorial service will be held on June 27, 2023, at 1:30 p.m., at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. A burial will follow immediately after the memorial service at Lakeview Cemetery.
