Weslyn J. LaMuska

 

Weslyn J. LaMuska "Jerry Dee," 68, of Eau Claire passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2010.

He was born on August 6, 1941 in Joliet, IL to John and Gladys (Bortle) LaMuska.

After graduating in 1959 from Memorial High School, he pursued a career in singing and was known as Jerry Dee And The Intruders. (Look for the upcoming life history tribute in the Leader-Telegram around Valentine's Day.) Weslyn had a love for singing and animals! He also sang in the choir at Bethel Church in Eau Claire. After his singing career, he started his own interior decorating business and did that for about 20 years.

For the past 10 years, he worked at Walmart as a photo lab technician.

He's proceeded in death by his parents, John and Gladys; brother, Roger; sister, Annabelle; brother-n-law, John; niece, Linda; nephew, Duane; great nephew and son-n-law, Brian. Wes's surviving family includes his wife, Linda; daughters, Kristi and Vicki; son, Mark; stepchildren, Mike, Chad and Barb; many grandchildren and step-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille (John) and Shirley (Phil); brother, Howard and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be at 4 p.m. on Monday February 1, 2010 at Fuller Speckien Hulke Funeral Home. Pastor Marvel Juve will officiate. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of services.
