Bradford
Yvonne G. Bradford, 61, of 1731 14th St.,
Eau Claire, died Wednesday, November 6, 2002, surrounded by her family at
home. She was born in Eau Claire on July 6, 1941, the daughter of Joseph
and Marie (Pitts) Johnson. She graduated from Memorial High School with
the class of 1959.
Yvonne married Neil C. Bradford in Eau Claire on February 10, 1962.
Yvonne was proud of her Norwegian heritage and treasured the warmth of her
large family. She enjoyed exercise class at the YMCA pool with her sisters
and friends. The light of her life was her granddaughter, Rachel.
She is survived by her husband Neil; two sons, Greg of Eau Claire and
Randy of Altoona; daughter, Laurie (John) Rafferty and granddaughter,
Rachel Rafferty of Altoona; brother, Odin Johnson of Eau Claire; seven
sisters, Florence (Bud) Weichert of Eau Claire, Joycelle (David) Smith of
Oconomowoc, Marcie Hanson, Shirley (Harry) Millwood, Joanne (Paul)
Sorenson, Judy (Mark Roswold) Burns and Linda (Steven) DesForge;
mother-in-law, Neva Bradford; sister-in-law, Rose Palmer all of Eau
Claire; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Richard Johnson; two
brothers-in-law, Richard Eisold and Gary Burns; and her father-in-law, H.
Clare Bradford.
A Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2002, at St.
Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father William A. Dhein officiating.
Family and friends may call an hour prior to services Saturday at the
church. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery at a later date.
